So Dell has finally decided to recall those exploding batteries that we have seen in many pictures on the web for the last month. I would say they erred on the side of caution in waiting so long. Maybe they thought it would go away, or maybe they just can’t react fast enough anymore. If you have a Dell laptop that was purchased from April 1, 2004, through July 18, 2006 you should check out the Dell recall web site at www.dellbatteryprogram.com
I own one of the laptop models affected, but after checking the recall web site I have found that my lap and my laptop are safe. What would I have done without being able to use my laptop sans battery? Lets make a list…..
- Spend more time with my 18 month old daughter and my wife
- Use the desktop computer
- Bring home the work laptop
- Use the handheld PDA
- Read a book
- Go to the beach
- Catch up on the Honey do’s
- Write more blogs
- Watch some of the shows that we’ve saved to the DVR
- and lastly……Go to bed at a reasonable hour
That’s what I think….What about you?
